A.R.S. § 13-1802 is Arizona’s primary theft statute, defining theft broadly as knowingly taking or using another person’s property or services without lawful authority and with the intent to deprive the owner.
Penalties
- Under $1,000 — Class 1 misdemeanor
- $1,000 to $1,999 — Class 6 felony
- $2,000 to $2,999 — Class 5 felony
- $3,000 to $3,999 — Class 4 felony
- $4,000 to $24,999 — Class 3 felony
- $25,000 or more — Class 2 felony
